The journal “Corrosion Protection” under the program of the Ministry of Education and Science “Development of Scientific Journals” is implementing the project RCN/SN/0650/2021/12.

The scientific journal “Corrosion Protection” has received funding from the Ministry of Education and Science (Ministry of Science and Higher Education) under the program “Development of Scientific Journals” (the project number implements project RCN/SN/0650/2021/12).
The amount of funding received was PLN 80,000.
Purpose of the project: implementation of activities aimed at raising the level of publishing and editing practices and increasing the prestige of the Journal in international scientific circulation. The project implementation period was 24 months.

Activities for the development of publishing and editorial practices and their impact on the maintenance of international circulation concerning the journal “Corrosion Protection” include:
- use of the editorial and publishing system, which will improve the publication cycle of articles and the publication of the journal,
- use of the anti-plagiarism system, which will positively affect the quality of the publication and is a fulfillment of COPE requirements,
- Redeveloping the website, which will allow articles to be posted in open access,
- sending out a newsletter, which will enable information about the publication to reach a wider range of interested parties and promote the publication to the national and international community of authors, researchers and practitioners involved in corrosion protection,
- Professional translation of articles into English, verification of translations and proofreading will contribute to increasing the quality of articles and their understanding and reaching an international audience of authors, resulting in increased interest in the journal’s content and citation of articles. It can be expected that there will be greater interest from potential authors, an increase in the number of submitted articles and thus an increase in citations and better visibility for the journal among thematically similar journals,
- Applying to databases such as Proquest, ERIH+ will help expand the journal’s reach and visibility among researchers and authors and, consequently, attract valuable articles.
